Tendinitis Treatment & Surgery

Tendinitis occurs when tendons become inflamed from repetitive motion or overuse, causing pain, stiffness, and swelling in the affected area. Dr. Sollaccio takes a comprehensive approach, offering therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory treatments to ease discomfort. If torn or damaged tendons are present, we provide minimally invasive procedures to repair the tissue and restore movement.

Elbow Sprain Treatment & Surgery

Elbow sprains happen when the ligaments supporting the joint are overstretched or torn, leading to pain, swelling, and weakness. We start with bracing, therapy, and pain management techniques to promote healing. If instability or weakness persists due to torn or damaged ligaments, we may recommend surgical intervention to strengthen and stabilize the joint.

Tennis Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) is a painful condition caused by overuse and strain on the forearm tendons. This can make lifting, gripping, and even simple movements difficult. We take a personalized approach, offering therapy, bracing, and targeted injections to reduce inflammation and pain. If needed, Dr. Sollaccio performs minimally invasive procedures to remove damaged tendon tissue and restore function.

Arthritis Treatment & Surgery

Living with arthritis can be frustrating, but you don’t have to do it alone. Arthritis can cause joint inflammation, stiffness, and pain, limiting mobility and affecting your quality of life. We focus on pain management, joint preservation, and function restoration with therapy, injections, and medication. If arthritis progresses, Dr. Sollaccio offers joint fusion or replacement surgery to provide long-term relief.

Sports Injuries Rehabilitation, Treatment, & Surgery

Sports injuries can affect anyone, from professional athletes to weekend warriors. Whether it’s a fracture, ligament tear, or chronic overuse injury, we take a holistic approach to recovery. We provide customized rehabilitation programs, non-surgical therapies, and when needed, advanced surgical techniques to help you heal properly and return to the activities you love.

Bursitis Treatment & Surgery

Bursitis occurs when the bursae, fluid-filled sacs that cushion your joints, become inflamed, leading to pain, swelling, and stiffness in the elbow or shoulder. Our goal is to reduce inflammation and restore mobility, using therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications. For severe cases, we offer minimally invasive procedures to drain excess fluid and relieve pressure on the joint.

Elbow Pain Treatment & Surgery

Elbow pain can make even simple activities painful and frustrating, whether caused by arthritis, nerve compression, or overuse injuries. We start with therapy, bracing, and pain management techniques to relieve discomfort and promote healing. When elbow pain results from torn or damaged ligaments or tendons, we offer surgical solutions to restore strength and stability.

Golfer’s Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Golf elbow (medial epicondylitis) can make gripping, lifting, and swinging painful due to irritated tendons in the inner elbow. Our treatment focuses on reducing strain on the affected tendons, using bracing, therapy, and anti-inflammatory treatments. If necessary, Dr. Sollaccio offers minimally invasive surgical options to remove damaged tendon tissue and restore elbow function.

Hand & Wrist Pain Treatment & Surgery

Your hands and wrists are involved in almost every aspect of daily life, which is why pain and stiffness in these areas can be so disruptive. Whether caused by nerve compression, arthritis, or ligament damage, we offer splinting, therapy, and pain management techniques to restore mobility. If non-surgical treatments don’t provide relief, Dr. Sollaccio specializes in advanced procedures to correct underlying issues and restore function.

Shoulder Pain Treatment & Surgery

Shoulder pain can result from rotator cuff injuries, bursitis, arthritis, or joint instability, making movement difficult and uncomfortable. We take a patient-centered approach, offering therapy, injections, and rehabilitation programs to improve function. For cases involving torn or damaged tendons, we provide arthroscopic surgery to strengthen and stabilize the shoulder joint.

Injuries & Conditions That May Require Orthopaedic Surgery

Pain, weakness, or stiffness in your hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder can make everyday tasks difficult. While many conditions improve with therapy, bracing, or injections, some injuries require surgical intervention for lasting relief. Dr. David R. Sollaccio takes a personalized approach, ensuring that surgery is only recommended when necessary to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve long-term function.

Bone Fractures

Fractures, or broken bones, in the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder can cause significant pain and loss of function. While some heal with casting or splinting, complex or displaced breaks may require surgical stabilization with plates, screws, or pins. Proper treatment ensures bones heal correctly, preventing long-term stiffness and weakness so you can regain full mobility.

Torn Ligaments & Tendons

Ligaments and tendons provide stability and movement, but injuries, overuse, or degeneration can cause them to tear or weaken. Mild cases may improve with therapy and bracing, but complete tears often require surgical repair to restore strength and prevent instability. Our goal is to get you back to your routine with the right treatment plan.

Trigger Finger

Trigger finger causes pain, stiffness, and a locking sensation when bending or straightening the finger or thumb. We offer splinting, therapy, and anti-inflammatory treatments, but when symptoms persist, a quick, minimally invasive procedure can release the tendon, restoring smooth movement and relieving discomfort.

Golfer’s Elbow & Tennis Elbow

Repetitive arm motions can lead to golf elbow (medial epicondylitis) or tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), causing chronic pain and weakness. We focus on therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory treatments to relieve strain. When pain persists due to torn or damaged tendons, minimally invasive procedures can help restore strength and mobility.

Dislocations

A dislocated shoulder, elbow, or finger can weaken the joint and increase the risk of future injuries. While realignment provides immediate relief, torn ligaments or tendons may need surgical repair to restore stability. We create a customized recovery plan to strengthen the joint and prevent re-injury.

Arthritis

Arthritis leads to joint pain, stiffness, and inflammation, making daily activities difficult. We focus on therapy, injections, and medications to slow progression and relieve pain. When arthritis significantly limits movement, joint fusion or replacement surgery can restore function and improve quality of life.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome & Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Nerve compression in the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome) or elbow (cubital tunnel syndrome) can cause numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hands and fingers. Splinting, therapy, and activity adjustments can relieve symptoms, but for severe cases, surgical decompression may be needed to prevent permanent nerve damage and restore function.

What Patients Are Saying

Hear from real patients about their experiences with Dr. Sollaccio’s expert care and personalized treatment.

I recently had a very serious incident that shattered my right arm, and wrist (and other issues) which desperately needed surgery. I was referred to Dr. Sollaccio who saw me the same day and performed the surgery the following day! He did an awesome job as indicated by the fact that I am typing this message easily and pain free. And great bedside manor, very patient, I never felt rushed. It also didn’t hurt that when other doctors and nurses asked who did my surgery and I told them, it was almost a unanimous response, ‘Ohhh you got lucky, he’s good!’ Highly recommended.

Dr. Sollaccio is incredible. When I got to him my injury was two days old, infection was setting in and acute compartment syndrome. Dr. S took one look, scheduled surgery for the same night and by the time I woke up from surgery all of my excruciating pain was gone. His energy is calming and comforting, he is patient and takes the time to explain details and answer all questions. He’s such a caring Dr and truly wants the best for his patients. Dr. Sollaccio has provided me with excellent care and follow-up from my surgery. By the way, you can barely see the sutures and it has only been 6 weeks post operation – it is as though a plastic surgeon did the surgery. Also, the surgery is very successful
