Bursitis Treatment & Surgery

Bursitis develops when small fluid-filled sacs that cushion your joints become inflamed, often due to repetitive movements, pressure, or aging. This can lead to stiffness, swelling, and discomfort in the elbow or shoulder, making movement difficult. Our team provides targeted therapy, anti-inflammatory injections, and minimally invasive procedures to relieve pain and restore full mobility for long-term relief.

Tennis Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Tennis elbow can affect anyone who performs repetitive arm motions, from construction workers to office employees. Overuse can lead to tendon inflammation and pain in the outer elbow, making gripping and lifting difficult. We offer therapy, bracing, and pain management solutions to relieve strain on the tendons, with surgical tendon repair available for persistent cases.

Hand & Wrist Pain Treatment & Surgery

Your hands and wrists are essential for gripping, writing, and lifting, making them vulnerable to arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and overuse injuries. Pain, numbness, or weakness in the hands can interfere with your daily routine. We provide personalized treatment plans that include splinting, therapy, and minimally invasive procedures to relieve discomfort and improve joint stability and function.

Shoulder Pain Treatment & Surgery

Shoulder pain can result from rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, or repetitive strain, leading to weakness, stiffness, and limited movement. Whether it’s a sports injury or long-term wear and tear, we develop customized treatment plans that include therapy, injections, and strengthening exercises. For severe cases, arthroscopic surgery may be recommended to repair tendon damage and restore mobility.

Golfer’s Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Golf elbow, or medial epicondylitis, develops when the tendons in the inner elbow become inflamed from repetitive wrist flexion. This can make gripping, lifting, and even basic movements painful. Our approach includes targeted therapy, bracing, and pain management treatments to ease the strain on the tendons. If chronic pain persists, surgical options may be needed to remove damaged tissue and restore elbow function.

Elbow Pain Treatment & Surgery

Elbow pain can be caused by arthritis, nerve compression, tendon injuries, or repetitive strain, making simple motions uncomfortable. Our approach focuses on identifying the root cause and creating a customized treatment plan, including therapy, injections, and bracing. If conservative treatments fail, we offer surgical procedures to repair torn or damaged ligaments and tendons and restore joint stability.

Tendinitis Treatment & Surgery

Tendinitis occurs when tendons become inflamed due to overuse, strain, or injury, leading to pain and stiffness in the wrist, elbow, or shoulder. Through therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory treatments, we focus on reducing inflammation, improving flexibility, and restoring strength. If tendon damage is severe, surgical intervention may be needed to promote healing and prevent further injury.

Sports Injuries Rehabilitation, Treatment, & Surgery

From rotator cuff tears and dislocations to ligament strains, sports injuries can affect athletes and active individuals alike. We offer rehabilitation programs, strength training, and advanced surgical options to help patients heal properly and return to their sport safely. Our approach focuses on reducing pain, improving mobility, and preventing future injuries through personalized care.

Elbow Sprain Treatment & Surgery

A sprained elbow can result from a sudden fall, sports injury, or awkward movement, leading to pain, swelling, and joint instability. While mild sprains can heal with rest and therapy, more severe cases involving torn ligaments may require surgical repair. We develop customized treatment plans to ensure joint stability and prevent long-term complications.

Arthritis Treatment & Surgery

Arthritis can turn everyday movements into a challenge, causing stiffness, swelling, and joint pain in the hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. We focus on personalized treatments, from therapy and injections to joint fusion or replacement surgery for lasting relief. Whether mild or advanced, our goal is to help you move with less pain and more confidence.

Injuries & Conditions That May Require Orthopaedic Surgery

When pain, weakness, or restricted movement begins affecting your hands, wrists, elbows, or shoulders, finding the right care is essential. From sports injuries and nerve compression to joint damage and fractures, some conditions heal with therapy and bracing, while others require surgical intervention to restore stability and function. Dr. David R. Sollaccio provides expert care in Friendswood, Texas, helping patients recover through targeted treatments that fit their needs and lifestyle.

Golfer’s Elbow & Tennis Elbow

Repetitive strain on the tendons in the elbow can lead to pain, stiffness, and reduced grip strength, making everyday activities challenging. Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) and golf elbow (medial epicondylitis) are common in athletes, laborers, and office workers alike. We offer therapy, bracing, and pain management techniques to relieve strain, with minimally invasive procedures available when tendon damage requires repair.

Torn Ligaments & Tendons

Ligaments and tendons provide joint stability and movement, but when torn or damaged, they can cause significant pain and weakness. Whether from sports injuries, falls, or repetitive strain, these injuries often require therapy and bracing to heal. For more severe tears, we offer advanced surgical procedures to restore joint integrity and prevent long-term mobility issues.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome & Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Nerve compression in the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome) or elbow (cubital tunnel syndrome) can cause numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness, making daily tasks like gripping or typing difficult. Early treatment with therapy, splinting, and activity modification can help, but if the condition worsens, surgical decompression may be needed to relieve pressure and restore full function.

Arthritis

Arthritis causes stiffness, swelling, and joint pain that can worsen over time, limiting mobility in the hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Whether due to osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, we offer joint injections, therapy, and pain management to slow progression. For severe cases, joint fusion or replacement surgery can help restore comfort and movement.

Bone Fractures

A fractured, or broken, hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder can cause severe pain and limited movement, making simple tasks difficult. While some fractures heal with casting or splinting, others require surgical stabilization to ensure proper alignment and recovery. Our goal is to promote healing, restore strength, and prevent long-term stiffness.

Trigger Finger

If your finger or thumb locks, clicks, or gets stuck in a bent position, trigger finger may be the cause. This condition occurs when the tendon sheath becomes inflamed, restricting movement. We offer therapy, splinting, and corticosteroid injections to relieve symptoms, with minimally invasive procedures available for long-term relief if needed.

Dislocations

A dislocated joint occurs when a bone is forced out of place, often in the shoulder, elbow, or fingers, leading to pain, swelling, and instability. While immediate realignment is crucial, ligaments and tendons may also be damaged, requiring therapy or surgical repair. Our approach focuses on stabilizing the joint, preventing future dislocations, and restoring strength and mobility.

What Patients Are Saying

Hear from real patients about their experiences with Dr. Sollaccio’s expert care and personalized treatment.

I recently had a very serious incident that shattered my right arm, and wrist (and other issues) which desperately needed surgery. I was referred to Dr. Sollaccio who saw me the same day and performed the surgery the following day! He did an awesome job as indicated by the fact that I am typing this message easily and pain free. And great bedside manor, very patient, I never felt rushed. It also didn’t hurt that when other doctors and nurses asked who did my surgery and I told them, it was almost a unanimous response, ‘Ohhh you got lucky, he’s good!’ Highly recommended.

Dr. S took one look, scheduled surgery for the same night and by the time I woke up from surgery all of my excruciating pain was gone. Dr. Sollaccio has provided me with excellent care and follow-up from my surgery. By the way, you can barely see the sutures and it has only been 6 weeks post operation – it is as though a plastic surgeon did the surgery. Also, the surgery is very successful
