Katy, TX Orthopaedic Hand, Wrist & Elbow Surgery

Bone Fractures

Fractures, or broken bones, in the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder can result from accidents, falls, or sports injuries. These injuries cause pain, swelling, and difficulty moving the affected area. Our team provides precise treatment, including casting, splinting, and surgical stabilization when needed, ensuring proper healing and helping patients regain strength and mobility.

Torn Ligaments & Tendons

A torn or damaged ligament or torn or damaged tendon can severely impact strength and function in the upper extremities. Whether caused by trauma, overuse, or repetitive motion, these injuries require specialized care. We offer comprehensive treatments, from physical therapy and bracing to minimally invasive surgical repair, to restore stability and movement.

Dislocations

Joint dislocations in the shoulder, elbow, or fingers can be painful and may lead to long-term instability if not treated properly. Our specialists provide expert realignment and stabilization techniques to ensure proper healing. In cases of recurrent dislocations, surgical solutions may be necessary to strengthen the joint and prevent further injury.

Arthritis

Chronic joint pain caused by arthritis can make daily tasks difficult, affecting grip strength, flexibility, and overall function. We offer non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy, medications, and injections to manage symptoms. For advanced cases, joint replacement or fusion surgery can help restore function and reduce pain for long-term relief.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome & Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Nerve compression in the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome) or elbow (cubital tunnel syndrome) can cause numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand and fingers. Dr. David R. Sollaccio offers specialized care for patients across Harris County, Fort Bend County, and Waller County, providing conservative treatments like splinting and therapy as well as decompression surgery to relieve nerve pressure and restore hand function.

Trigger Finger

Trigger finger occurs when a tendon becomes inflamed, causing a finger or thumb to lock or catch when bent. This condition can make gripping and daily activities difficult. We provide customized treatment options, including splinting, anti-inflammatory therapy, and minimally invasive surgery to release the tendon and restore smooth movement.

Golfer’s Elbow & Tennis Elbow

Overuse of the arm muscles can lead to tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) or golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis), causing pain and weakness that affect gripping, lifting, and forearm movement. We offer targeted treatments, including bracing, therapy, and anti-inflammatory care. When conservative methods fail, minimally invasive procedures can repair torn or damaged tendons, restoring strength and function.

Tendinitis Treatment & Surgery

Tendinitis occurs when repetitive movements or overuse cause inflammation in the tendons, leading to stiffness and discomfort. We offer personalized treatment plans, including physical therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory medications. For severe cases, minimally invasive procedures may be required to repair torn or damaged tendons, relieve pain, and restore function.

Sports Injuries Rehabilitation, Treatment, & Surgery

Sports injuries can range from mild sprains to severe ligament tears, affecting performance and daily activities. Our orthopaedic practice provides expert care for athletes and active individuals throughout Katy, Texas, with an approach that includes physical therapy, bracing, and advanced surgical techniques when necessary to restore strength and flexibility.

Elbow Sprain Treatment & Surgery

Elbow sprains occur when the ligaments surrounding the joint are overstretched or torn, causing pain, swelling, and instability. We provide comprehensive care, from rest and bracing to targeted therapy and pain management. In severe cases, ligament repair surgery may be necessary to restore strength and prevent long-term complications.

Tennis Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, is caused by repetitive stress on the forearm tendons, leading to pain and weakness on the outer elbow. Our team offers non-surgical options like therapy, bracing, and injections. When conservative treatments aren’t enough, minimally invasive surgery can remove damaged tissue and promote tendon healing.

Golfer’s Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Golfer’s elbow, or medial epicondylitis, results from overuse of the forearm muscles, causing pain and tenderness along the inner elbow. We provide customized treatment plans, including therapy, bracing, and injections. For persistent pain, surgical intervention may be recommended to repair torn or damaged tendons and restore function.

Arthritis Treatment & Surgery

Arthritis can cause chronic pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility in the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder. We offer a range of treatments, from therapy and medication to joint injections and surgical solutions like joint replacement or fusion, helping patients manage pain and improve function.

Bursitis Treatment & Surgery

Bursitis occurs when the fluid-filled sacs (bursae) that cushion the joints become inflamed, leading to pain and swelling. Our treatment approach includes rest, therapy, and anti-inflammatory medications. For severe cases, minimally invasive procedures can help relieve pressure and restore movement.

Elbow Pain Treatment & Surgery

Bursitis develops when the small, fluid-filled sacs (bursae) that cushion and protect the joints become irritated or inflamed, often due to repetitive motion, pressure, or injury. This inflammation can cause pain, swelling, and restricted movement in the affected joint. Treatment typically includes rest, physical therapy, and anti-inflammatory medications to reduce discomfort. In more severe or persistent cases, minimally invasive procedures may be necessary to drain excess fluid, relieve pressure, and restore joint mobility.

Hand & Wrist Pain Treatment & Surgery

Pain in the hand and wrist can be caused by nerve compression, tendon injuries, or joint conditions, affecting everyday tasks like gripping or typing. We provide non-invasive treatments such as splinting, injections, and therapy. For more complex cases, decompression procedures or joint repair can help restore long-term function and comfort.

Shoulder Pain Treatment & Surgery

Shoulder pain from rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, or impingement can limit mobility and affect daily life. Our team offers expert care, including therapy, anti-inflammatory treatments, and customized rehabilitation plans. For severe cases, minimally invasive surgery can repair damage, reduce pain, and restore shoulder strength and flexibility.

What Patients Are Saying

Hear from real patients about their experiences with Dr. Sollaccio’s expert care and personalized treatment.

I recently had a very serious incident that shattered my right arm, and wrist (and other issues) which desperately needed surgery. I was referred to Dr. Sollaccio who saw me the same day and performed the surgery the following day! He did an awesome job as indicated by the fact that I am typing this message easily and pain free. And great bedside manor, very patient, I never felt rushed. It also didn’t hurt that when other doctors and nurses asked who did my surgery and I told them, it was almost a unanimous response, ‘Ohhh you got lucky, he’s good!’ Highly recommended.

T.L.

Dr. Sollaccio is incredible. When I got to him my injury was two days old, infection was setting in and acute compartment syndrome. Dr. S took one look, scheduled surgery for the same night and by the time I woke up from surgery all of my excruciating pain was gone. His energy is calming and comforting, he is patient and takes the time to explain details and answer all questions. He’s such a caring Dr and truly wants the best for his patients. Thank you Dr. Sollaccio for everything you’ve done for me!

Dr. Sollaccio has provided me with excellent care and follow-up from my surgery. By the way, you can barely see the sutures and it has only been 6 weeks post operation – it is as though a plastic surgeon did the surgery. Also, the surgery is very successful
