Shoulder Pain Treatment & Surgery

The shoulder is one of the most versatile yet injury-prone joints in the body. Rotator cuff tears, bursitis, and arthritis can cause pain and weakness, making overhead movements challenging. We provide personalized treatment plans, including rehabilitation, injections, and mobility exercises. When pain persists, arthroscopic surgery can repair torn tendons and stabilize the joint for lasting relief.

Golfer’s Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Golf elbow (medial epicondylitis) occurs when the tendons inside the elbow become irritated from repetitive wrist and forearm movement. This condition causes pain and weakness, making gripping and lifting difficult. To relieve discomfort, we offer therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory injections. For persistent cases, minimally invasive tendon repair can remove damaged tissue and restore elbow strength.

Elbow Pain Treatment & Surgery

Elbow pain can develop from arthritis, nerve compression, or tendon injuries and affect everything from work to daily activities. We start with therapy, bracing, and targeted injections to manage pain and improve function. When torn or damaged ligaments and tendons are the cause, Dr. Sollaccio performs advanced surgical procedures to safely restore joint stability and mobility.

Sports Injuries Rehabilitation, Treatment, & Surgery

Sports injuries can sideline athletes and active individuals, whether caused by overuse, repetitive strain, or direct trauma. Dr. Sollaccio, a trusted hand doctor, wrist doctor, and elbow doctor, offers customized rehabilitation, therapy, and surgical solutions to help you recover and regain strength. Our goal is to help you heal properly and prevent future injuries so you can return to the activities you love.

Hand & Wrist Pain Treatment & Surgery

Your hands and wrists are constantly in motion, which makes them vulnerable to pain, stiffness, and nerve compression. Conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, and ligament injuries can make even simple tasks difficult. We offer splinting, therapy, and injections to relieve discomfort. If surgery is needed, Dr. Sollaccio provides advanced procedures to restore mobility and function.

Arthritis Treatment & Surgery

Arthritis can cause chronic joint pain, stiffness, and inflammation, making movement painful. Whether it’s osteoarthritis from wear and tear or rheumatoid arthritis, we offer therapy, joint injections, and medications to slow progression and relieve pain. For severe cases, joint fusion or replacement surgery can restore mobility and improve long-term comfort.

Tennis Elbow Treatment & Surgery

Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) isn’t just for athletes; it affects anyone who uses repetitive arm motions, including workers who lift, grip, or type frequently. We provide therapy, bracing, and inflammation management to reduce pain. When necessary, minimally invasive procedures can remove damaged tendon tissue and promote healing for long-term relief.

Bursitis Treatment & Surgery

Bursitis occurs when the bursae, small fluid-filled sacs that cushion the joints, become inflamed due to overuse or pressure. This often leads to pain, swelling, and stiffness, especially in the elbow and shoulder. We offer therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and guided injections to relieve discomfort. For persistent cases, minimally invasive procedures can help drain excess fluid and reduce joint irritation.

Tendinitis Treatment & Surgery

Tendinitis is caused by inflammation of the tendons due to repetitive movement or overuse. It often affects the wrist, elbow, and shoulder, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. We provide therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory treatments to promote healing. If torn or damaged tendons are present, we offer surgical options to remove scar tissue and restore function.

Elbow Sprain Treatment & Surgery

Elbow sprains happen when the ligaments supporting the joint are overstretched or torn, causing pain, swelling, and instability. Many sprains improve with rest, bracing, and physical therapy, but when torn or damaged ligaments lead to ongoing weakness, surgical repair may be needed to restore elbow strength and prevent future injuries.

Our Willowbrook location offers prompt access to specialized orthopedic care. With immediate treatment for fractures, sprains, and acute hand, wrist, and elbow injuries, our dedicated specialists provide personalized care designed to quickly relieve pain, restore function, and help you return to your daily activities.

Injuries & Conditions That May Require Orthopaedic Surgery

We take a personalized approach to pain, focusing on finding the root cause of your symptoms rather than just treating them. Many conditions can be managed with non-surgical treatments like therapy, bracing, and injections, but in cases where structural damage is present, surgical intervention may be necessary to restore mobility and long-term relief. Our goal is to help you regain function and get back to the activities you enjoy.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome & Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Nerve compression in the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome) or elbow (cubital tunnel syndrome) can lead to numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand and fingers. These conditions often develop from repetitive movements, prolonged pressure, or underlying health conditions. We focus on relieving nerve pressure using splinting, therapy, and targeted injections. If symptoms persist, surgical decompression can free the nerve and restore full function, helping to eliminate discomfort and improve hand coordination.

Golfer’s Elbow & Tennis Elbow

Overuse of the forearm tendons can cause tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) and golf elbow (medial epicondylitis), both of which lead to chronic pain, tenderness, and a weakened grip. Our approach emphasizes reducing strain on the affected tendons, using bracing, therapy, and targeted anti-inflammatory treatments. For cases where torn or damaged tendons are present, we offer minimally invasive procedures to remove scar tissue, promote healing, and restore elbow strength.

Torn Ligaments & Tendons

Ligaments and tendons are essential for joint stability and movement, but they can be torn or damaged due to sudden injury, repetitive stress, or degeneration over time. A partial tear may heal with bracing and rehabilitation, but complete tears can lead to weakness, instability, and chronic pain. We use a comprehensive treatment approach, from guided therapy and pain management to surgical reconstruction when necessary, ensuring the best possible recovery.

Arthritis

Arthritis is a progressive condition that causes joint inflammation, stiffness, and pain, often making movement uncomfortable. Whether due to osteoarthritis (wear and tear) or rheumatoid arthritis (autoimmune disease), we focus on managing pain, preserving mobility, and slowing joint deterioration. Treatment may include therapy, joint injections, and regenerative medicine, and for advanced cases, joint fusion or replacement surgery can restore movement and provide lasting relief.

Dislocations

A dislocated shoulder, elbow, or finger can be incredibly painful and lead to long-term instability if not properly treated. Immediate realignment of the joint is just the first step, and our focus is on preventing future dislocations by strengthening surrounding muscles and ligaments. We offer customized rehabilitation plans to restore joint stability, and in cases where ligaments or tendons have been torn, we provide surgical repair to ensure a full recovery.

Trigger Finger

Trigger finger occurs when the tendons controlling finger movement become inflamed and thickened, making it difficult to straighten the affected finger or thumb. This can result in pain, stiffness, and locking when bending or extending the digit. Our goal is to restore smooth movement using splinting, therapy, and anti-inflammatory treatments. If symptoms persist, a simple outpatient procedure performed by an orthopaedic surgeon can free the tendon, allowing for pain-free motion.

Bone Fractures

Fractures, or broken bones, in the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder can occur from falls, direct trauma, or high-impact injuries. Some fractures heal with casting or splinting, but complex or displaced breaks may require surgical stabilization using plates, screws, or pins. Our approach is focused on ensuring proper alignment and healing while minimizing stiffness and loss of function. With the right treatment, we help patients regain full strength and mobility after a break.

What Patients Are Saying

Hear from real patients about their experiences with Dr. Sollaccio’s expert care and personalized treatment.

I recently had a very serious incident that shattered my right arm, and wrist (and other issues) which desperately needed surgery. I was referred to Dr. Sollaccio who saw me the same day and performed the surgery the following day! He did an awesome job as indicated by the fact that I am typing this message easily and pain free. And great bedside manor, very patient, I never felt rushed. It also didn’t hurt that when other doctors and nurses asked who did my surgery and I told them, it was almost a unanimous response, ‘Ohhh you got lucky, he’s good!’ Highly recommended.

Dr. S took one look, scheduled surgery for the same night and by the time I woke up from surgery all of my excruciating pain was gone. Dr. Sollaccio has provided me with excellent care and follow-up from my surgery. By the way, you can barely see the sutures and it has only been 6 weeks post operation – it is as though a plastic surgeon did the surgery. Also, the surgery is very successful
